BUSHENYI – A 52 year Old man has perished in an accident that happened at Kigoma along Ishaka-Kasese Road on Friday 15th November 2024 at around 6:40pm
The serious turned fatal accident involved Motorvehicle UAQ 090R Toyota Corona White in Colour and motorvehicle UFD 066U Bajaj Boxer Red in colour.
The deceased is Baguma Luciano a rider resident of Swazi III, Swazi Kyamuhunga, Igara West in Bushenyi district.
The motorvehicle was being driven by Tumusiime Benard 55 years a lecturer at Bishop Stuart University Mbarara resident of Katete, Nyamitanga in Mbarara City.
Eye witnesses say the motorvehicle was coming from Kasese side while the Motorcycle was from the opposite direction when they collided Head-on, the victim(rider) was rushed to KIU Hospital Ishaka where he was pronounced dead shortly on arrival.
Traffic Police led by Sgt Kabagambe Charles assisted by Pc Nakisige Rebecca visited the scene and towed both the motorvehicle and motorcycle to Kizinda Police station pending inspection by IOV.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident that inquiries into the matter are still at hand.
