NATIONAL – Two German tourists are nursing serious injuiries after getting involved in an accident at Nyamuhuru Queen Elizabeth Park in Rubirizi district along Kasese-Ishaka road.
The accident happened on Friday 8th November 2024 at around 2:30pm and involved motorvehicles UBH 444P Toyota Wish and UBG 572Y Sino Truck.
The Victims are Stappenbacher Florian 38 years and Muller Mathias Wolfgang 38 years.
Its alleged that the driver of the sino truck loaded with sand which was from Ishaka to Hima cement cement factory lost control and left his lane and knocked the Wish Vehicle which was in its lane damaging the passenger’s side and injured the passengers . The Victims were rushed to Rubirizi Medical Center for treatment.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Soñpokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime says the scene was visited by IP Twebaze (Oc Traffic) , Pc Waiswa and Pc Adrole and a statement of Kato Hussein the driver of UBH 444P was recorded and neccessary forms and books issued.
By press time, the driver of UBG 572Y Sino Truck was still on run.
