BUSHENYI – On Tuesday 22nd October 2024, Bushenyi District local leadership ( both technical and political) were in Kakanju Sub County, Kyamuhunga Town council and Kyamuhunga sub counties to launch and commission a motley of projects.
The projects included inter alia; commissioning of a two classroom block at Nyakabingo primary school that costed ugx 59 million, launching of completion of a two classroom block at Munanura primary school to cost 16.5 millions ugx, launching of construction of a five stance lined Latrine at kigondo primary school to cost igx 29.9 million, launching of construction of a 5 stance lined Latrine at Nyakabingo primary school to cost 29.9 millions ugx, completion of a 3 classroom block at Kyamuhunga Central primary school to cost 37.4 millions ugx and launching of a 5 stance lined Latrine at Ryamarebo in Kyamuhunga subcounty to cost 31.8 millions ugx.
Community leaders , school committee members and school administrators thanked Bushenyi District leadership and H.E Museveni for their continuous support to UPE schools and promised to reciprocate by voting H.E Museveni again in 2026.
The office of the president Bushenyi District implored recipient schools of the projects to quickly report any cases of shoddy work and make sure all school going children are in school because they have a right to education and it was the reason why H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni initiated UPE program.
