NEWS – The police in Kabale are hunting for suspects who allegedly hacked to death a 57 year old David Karyamarwaki a resident of Nyamabare village Kitumba sub county Kabale district, whose body was discovered in his house in the morning of 21/10/2024.
It’s alleged that,on 21/10/2024 at at Nyamabare village, at unknown time, unknown suspect(s) with malice forethough, broke into the house of the deceased, attacked him and hacked him three times on the head and on the shoulder that made him to over bleed leading to his death.
The area chairperson LC II John Nyakire, upon getting information from the residents rang the OC Kitumba Police Station who also called the District CID officer who, upon getting information, led a team of homicide detectives and other police officers to the scene.
The scene was visited, processed and documented,
relevant statements were obtained from witnesses and postmortem done.
Thereafter, the body was handed over to the relatives for decent burial.
Information from a reliable source indicates that the deceased had land dispute with some people who are yet to be identified and was in his house alone while sleeping when he was attacked.
Anyone with clues pertaining to his death, can volunteer that information to the police so that perpetrators are brought to book.
The Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Asp Elly Maate confirmed this incident stressing that inquiries are still at hand.
