BUSHENYI – The Office of the president- Bushenyi District has ordered for the arrest of one Smith who is alleged to have extorted money from PDM beneficiaries.
The Office of president- Bushenyi had on Wednesday 16th October 2024 morning gone to Nyakabirizi Division to monitor and ascertain PDM beneficiaries of Mazinga Ward.
All Parish Development Model beneficiaries were read for people to ascertain whether they are real residents of the place.
Officials asked members if therr are cases of extortion and some members said its true one Smith, treasurer of the Sacco extorted between 50,000 – 100,000 ug shillings.
Deputy RDC Bushenyi Kasigazi Donanto tasked area GISO to look for one Smith who had already taken off from the meeting point.
Deputy RDC Katsigazi Donanto instructed Area GISO and Incharge of Nyakabirizi police post to capture statements of those whom Smith is suspected to have extorted money and Smith be made to report to police and make a statement.
