SHEEMA – Police in Sheema district are stuck with the body of a woman in her mid 20s which was found decomposing in Mushanga cell, Nyarweshama ward, central division in Sheema Municipality on 10th October 2024.
Its alleged that Male Richard chairman LC1 Nyamufumura cell is the one who saw a decomposing body of an unidentified woman covered with grass, then he called Oc Nyamufumura Asp Akalivenuma Levi who gave information yo Oc CID Sheema.
A casefile was opened vide Nyamufumura SD REF 06/10/10/2024 and later Sheema CRB 640/2024. The scene was visited, examined documented and statements were also recorded from relevant witnesses.
By press time, the body of the deceased had been taken to Kabwohe Health Centre IV by Police for postmortem and the report was yet to be retrieved.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident stressing that inquiries into the matter are still at hand.
