SHEEMA – An accident along Ishaka – Kagamba road has claimed life of a 25 year Old woman Akampurira Lillian a resident of Nshenga cell, Bwanga Parish, Nyarushanje Sub County in Rukungiri district.
The fatal accident that a motorcycle Registration Number UGF 588H/B Boxer Red in Colour happened when the rider failed to negotiate a sharp corner of Kaitanjojo in Sheema South, Sheema district on Monday 16th September 2024 at around 10:00am.
Eye witnesses say after the rider failed to negotiate the corner, the passenger (now deceased) jumped from the motorcycle and fell down on the sides of the road dying instantly.
Police rushed to the scene after getting information led by No 44488 sgt Bamwesigye Geofrey and the team who took the body of the deceased to Kitagata Hospital mortuary and the rider was also taken to the same facility for medical attention though with minor injuries.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed this incident to this website stressing that inquiries into the matter are still in progress.
