KITAGATA – Police in Sheema district are investigating circumstances surrounding the discovered human skeleton suspected to be of a man a swamp found in Katogo 1 village, Kyeibanga West Parish in Kitagata Sub County.
Its today Friday 30th August 2024 at around 10:30am when Asp Muhoozi the Oc station Kitagata received a phone call from Ntungwa Francis (Area LC1) that he had found a skeleton of a human being in Ndurumo Swamp.
A case file of suspected murder was opened vide sd ref 10/30/08/024 and CRB 024, the scene was visited by soco and a team of detectives who ferried the skeleton to Kitagata Hospital for postmortem examination.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed this incident to press stressing that inquiries to identify the deceased by use of DNA, record statements from anyone who will claim the remains are still at hand.
