BUSHENYI – A prominent journalist Muhwezi Wilber Kasibante who is also the managing director Mk newslink has survived death narrowly after being involved in a serious road accident.
The accident happened at Kataremwa long Bushenyi-Kasese road in Bushenyi district at around 5pm on Tuesday 13th August 2024 and involved motorvehicles UAP 842D premio silver in colour and UAS 637J Mitsubish fuso white/blue water Bowser.
The victims are Muhwezi Wilber Kasibante (Driver of motorvehicle UAP 842D premio) together with a female passenger whose particulars were yet to be established. Both victims were rushed to KIU hospital Ishaka for medical attention.
Its alleged that at about 5pm motorvehicle UAP 842D was from Bushenyi side then the driver lost control and knocked a stationary water bowser which was parked off road where the road is under repair.
Police officers No.40662 Cpl Mugabirwe Allen, Pc Oola and Pc Asiimwe visited the scene and did all the neccessary documentation. Both vehicles are parked at Bushenyi police yard pending iov inspection.
The Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson Ssp Marcial Tumusiime confirmed this incident to reporters revealing that the primarily cause of the accident is careless driving by the driver of UAP 842D.
“Inquiries are still at hand and we shall update you about any new development concerning this matter”, Afande Marcial stressed.
