KABALE – An accident at Mwanjari along Kabale – Katuna road in Kabale district has claimed life of a yet to be identified motorist.
The fatal accident happened at around 8:30pm on Wednesday 7th August 2024 and involved motorvehicle UAH 868N Toyota Land Cruiser prado white in colour and motorcycle registration number UFR 929L Bajaj boxer red in colour. The driver of the motorvehicle is Mutanda Mutyaba John 38 years a resident of Kawempe Mbogo, Kawempe Division in Kampala district.
Its alleged that the motorvehicle was from Katuna side towards Kabale town and motorcycle was from Kabale town towards Katuna direction, the rider left his side and moved to the side of the vehicle and knocked head-on with it and he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Kabale Regional Referral hospital where he died on arrival.
The Kigezi Police Spokesperson Asp Elly Maate confirmed the incident to this website notifying us that both the motorcycle and the motorvehicle that were involved in the accident are parked at the station pending inspection by iov.
