KAGANGO – Police in Sheema district are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 63 year Old man who is suspected to have taken poison/pesticide (arccharicide).
The deceased is Baale Adriano a resident of Bunyagongo cell, Kagango division, Sheema Municipality whose his body was found in a pond of Siraji’s farm in Rushoroza also in Kagango, Sheema on Sunday 14th July 2024 at around 2:30pm.
Facts collected by this website from witnesses, yesterday morning the deceased took his wife to Rwabutura Catholic Church for prayers then he came back to Kabwohe town and toured his rental building after which he went to Shell Kabwohe and fueled his car but instead of driving home, he was seen driving at a high school heading to Ngoma. On his way way he hit a hump and the car engine suddenly stopped, he abandoned the car along the road with it’s ignition key and walked on foot but today morning, his body found in a pond in Siraji’s farm.
The matter was reported to police by Filbert Birungi 37 years a resident of Bunyagango cell and a case file was opened Vide Sheema DEF 008/2024. The scene was visited by Homicide team of Sheema Station with Soco who documented it and retrieved the body to Kabwohe Health Center for postmortem.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident to press stressing that inquiries into the matter are still at hand.
