The police in Kabale are hunting for an unknown vehicle that caused a Hit and run fatal accident of a 41 year Old Joseph Byampala a mechanic and resident of Rwabarera village Bubare Sub County Rubanda district, who was a pedestrian.
The accident happened on 18/06/2024 at about 07:45am at Ihumbi village northern division Kabale municipality along Kabale Bunyonyi road.
It’s alleged that the deceased pedestrian walked from Rwabarera village going for work and when he reached Ihumbi village, he was knocked by a speeding unknown motor vehicle and after which, it just continued.
The Kigezi Police Spokesperson Asp Elly Maate said the scene was visited, body taken to Kabale hospital mortuary, and the hunt for the vehicle is on going.
