Ntungamo,Uganda – Radio Ankole and organizers of Ekijumeero Rubarurantojo have unveiled prizes to be won by listeners in the month leading up to Ekijumeero Day on 4th July 2026.
The prizes include a motorbike, registration number UMA 080KE, television screens, telephones, radios and other items. They were revealed during a press conference held on 29th May 2026 for Ekijumeero Rubarurantojo, the mega event set for 4th July 2026 at Kyamate Playground to celebrate 21 years of Radio Ankole.
Station Manager Elly Katahinga said the prizes will be put into a draw before winners are announced. He thanked listeners for their support and urged them to participate by buying raffle tickets at UGX 2,000 each.
Katahinga also appreciated sponsors of this year’s event, including Nyakyera Farmers SACCO, EBO SACCO, Baya Vet Pharmacy, Kyosha Electronics, Ntungamo Girls High School, Sap General Hardware, Ariho Hotel, Jeremiah Concrete Products, Kajara People’s SACCO, Pure Flow Initiative, Ankole Resort & Spa, and Mwesigwa Rukutana & Company Advocates. He described them as the major pillars of the celebration.
Radio Ankole Accountant Immaculate Kyomukama, alias “Mama Kijumeero”, called on the public not to miss the 4th July event at Kyamate Playground. She noted that Ekijumeero Rubarurantojo will feature a big lineup of musicians, MCs and DJs. She also encouraged listeners to buy early-bird tickets for easy entry.
Ekijumeero Chief Mobilizer MC Kagame said event tables are almost sold out and urged fans to book the remaining ones early. He revealed that this year’s target is 100,000 attendees, double the 50,000 who turned up last year.
Event organizing Chairman Rumanzi Perez urged everyone to create a moment of joy, saying such a day is meant for celebration and unity.
