MBARARA CITY – Police in Mbarara City has on 9th April 2924 registered a fatal road accident involving UBK 493T Toyota Wish white in colour and H4DF 1162TATA White in colour along the Mbarara Bushenyi Road before Stabex petrol station at Mile four where two people died on the spot and injuring two.
Those who lost lives are ;
Akanjuna Benson and Kanyuzi annet both passengers in UBK 493T
According to SP Samson Kasasira, Rwizi police PRO, It’s alleged that on the 09/04/2024 at about 1Pm at the NARO junction near Stabex petrol station on the Mbarara Bushenyi road, the driver of the Toyota Wish was coming from Mbarara City heading to Bushenyi side but when it reached Mile four the driver left his lane to the extreme right due to potholes hence colliding with an oncoming motor vehicle TATA white in colour from the opposite direction and due to the force the Toyota Wish lost control going off the road facing where it was coming from ,the TATA box body continued and overturned on the extreme right side of the road.
The deceased’s body wad conveyed to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem.Both motor vehicles were towed to CPS Mbarara yard pending inspection by the I.O.V
