Ntungamo, Uganda – A manhunt is underway in Ntungamo District, Uganda, for a woman who fled the scene after a man died during a sexual encounter in her home.
The incident occurred on Sunday, October 15th, at approximately 2:30 PM in Kacerere, Nyarwanya Rubaare town council.
The deceased, identified only as a lumberman, was found dead in the suspect’s house. Witnesses identified the suspect as Kellen, a resident of the same area. Kellen reportedly left the scene immediately following the incident.
The case highlights concerns about delayed police response. Area Vice Chairperson Deus Byamugisha initially reported the incident, but police arrived only after a considerable delay, prompting further intervention from councilor Coleb Rweguuta, the acting LC III of Rubaare Sub County. Upon their arrival, police retrieved the body and transported it to Itojo Hospital for an autopsy.
As of press time, police have yet to issue an official statement, and the suspect remains at large. The investigation is ongoing.
