Buhweju, Uganda – Three motorcyclists were robbed at gunpoint in Musaana Village, Rwengwe Sub-county, Buhweju District on the evening of April 17, 2025.
Saturday Jonan, a 31-year-old timber dealer, Tukashaba Goodman, a 20-year-old peasant, and Katagira Aron, a 45-year-old peasant, were all traveling on motorcycles when they were confronted by a group of three masked men dressed in army uniforms.
The suspects, armed with a firearm, stopped the victims, tied them to eucalyptus trees, and robbed them of two motorcycles (registration numbers UFR 384R and UFE 828K), mobile phones, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbery was reported to the police at 6:45 AM the following day by Saturday Jonan. A team of detectives and the Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO) visited the scene, documented the crime, and attempted to track the suspects with a police canine unit, but the dog lost the scent.
Statements were also taken from witnesses. The stolen motorcycles have been reported as stolen, thus blacklisted.
Police believe the robbery was a pre-planned operation, executed in an area of dense eucalyptus trees.
Investigations are ongoing, and police are actively pursuing the suspects and tracing the stolen motorcycles.
Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident and assured the public that police are actively working to bring the perpetrators to justice.
