BUSHENYI – A 30 year old motorcycle rider has perished in an accident at Butare in front of police post along Ishaka-Kasese road.
The deceased is Atusasibwe Brian resident of Ryakataganya village, Kyamuhunga ward/Town Council in Bushenyi district.
The accident that happened on Friday 25th October 2024 at around 7:30pm involved a yet to be identified motorvehicle and motorcycle registration number UFY 487M Bajaj Boxer red in colour.
Its alleged that the motorvehicle came from Kasese side and as it was braching to Karinju road, there came the motorcycle being ridden by Brian (deceased) from Ishaka heading to Kyamuhunga side which knocked the vehicle and the rider (Brian) died on spot.
Police swung into action led by Sgt Kabagambe Charles and conveyed the body of the deceased to Comboni Hospital Mortuary for postmortem and the motorcycle was also taken and parked at police pending IOV Inspection.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed this incident to reporters stressing that inquiries are still ongoing.
